One of the fundamental objectives of our effort to depict the lives of the Saints of our Orthodoxy was to create high-quality children’s animations with respect to their tender soul so as to sooth and inspire it. This effort underwent the approval and the agreement of the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Glyfada, Voula, Elliniko, Vouliagmeni and Vari and under the auspices of Father Constantinos Stratigopoulos, Protopresbyter of the aforementioned Holy Orthodox Metropolis. The source of the inspiration was the Sunday schools of the parish where Father Constantinos Stratigopoulos serves, with attendance of over 600 children. The clergymen and the Sunday school teachers, through their example, reminded the parents and guardians that children are gifts as well as an opportunity for sanctification while the life of the saints reflected a pure and bright role-model for modern life to the children.
The realization of Saint Gerasimos life of and Apostle Paul part of his route of from Damascus to the Acropolis depicts the lives of the Saints of our Orthodoxy, without any adaptations whatsoever and by using the Synaxaria and the Holy Bible as only sources.
The animation was undertaken by Thodoris Sarafis while the music was composed by Christos Maragoudakis. The script was edited by Panayiota Koutsomichali.

PLOT
The route of the Apostle Paul from Damascus to the Acropolis. A small effort to highlight the size and magnitude of the Apostle Paul’s achievements but also the pain of his eagerness. What was it that touched his heart and made him go from one extreme to the other? Upon hearing a voice “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” he asked “Who are you Lord?” This is how he opened his heart to the brilliance of the light that let him to be taught and to be baptised by Ananias, to live as an eremite for many years in the Arabian Desert and to begin his travels thus paving the way for Christianity into Europe. We would also like to be a part of this journey…to become the light of the people resembling the Apostle Paul who lived inside Christ and had Christ residing within him.

Saint Nicholas was born in Patara, Lycia, at 250 AD. in Asia Minor, and our Church honors him on the 6th of December. In this third production of ours that concerns the life of a Saint, offered to the children, we present snapshots of the life of Saint Nicholas, protector of the seasmen as invoked by our tradition but not of seamen alone. We present not only his faith and love in Christ , his charity to the people, his aid sometimes financial and sometimes therapeutic, his election to Archbishop, his active participation in the First Ecumenical Council but also his arrest and imprisonment on various occasions. The Saints, living Images of the Image of Christ, continue to accompany us even after their «sleep» (passing away), and have an important and protective role in our lives, whenever we ask them to. We wish that you will enjoy and benefit from this effort of ours, to get acquainted with the life of one more Saint, and to have him as your protector in your life!
