One of the fundamental objectives of our effort to depict the lives of the Saints of our Orthodoxy was to create high-quality children’s animations with respect to their tender soul so as to sooth and inspire it. This effort underwent the approval and the agreement of the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Glyfada, Voula, Elliniko, Vouliagmeni and Vari and under the auspices of Father Constantinos Stratigopoulos, Protopresbyter of the aforementioned Holy Orthodox Metropolis. The source of the inspiration was the Sunday schools of the parish where Father Constantinos Stratigopoulos served, with attendance of over 600 children. The clergymen and the Sunday school teachers, through their example, reminded the parents and guardians that children are gifts as well as an opportunity for sanctification while the life of the saints reflected a pure and bright role-model for modern life to the children.
The realization of Saint Gerasimos life of and Apostle Paul part of his route of from Damascus to the Acropolis depicts the lives of the Saints of our Orthodoxy, without any adaptations whatsoever and by using the Synaxaria and the Holy Bible as only sources.
The animation was undertaken by Thodoris Sarafis while the music was composed by Christos Maragoudakis. The script was edited by Panayiota Chli- Koutsomichali.
The need for high-quality stimuli has also led us to the production of the film “Christmas Anti-Fable”. The film is based on the short story of Ilias Voulgarakis, “A Decent Trinity” while the adaptation of the script was edited by the Protopresbyter Constantinos Stratigopoulos. It’s Christmas Eve, the… worms are in danger…”but I am a worm and not a man” (Psalp22:6). Human dignity is unable to show empathy to the salvation of humanity. What is needed is tolerance, charity, love…”Prepare O Bethlehem, For Eden has been opened to all. Adorn yourself, O Ephratha, for the tree of life blossoms forth from the Virgin in the cave…”.
